Well, it’s time to shake things up in the FOXSports.com/SPEED.com Power Rankings.

While Jimmie Johnson has led for most of the year, since Talladega, Kevin Harvick has moved from 12th to fourth in points, cutting his deficit to Johnson by 45 points — nearly one full race. Harvick finished second to Greg Biffle in Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway to move into the top slot this week.

1

Kevin Harvick

0 4 1/15
With his second place run behind Biffle, Harvick now has two victories, four top-five and five top-10 finishes in his last six races. He’s looking good lately.

2

Jimmie Johnson

0 1 1/7
Taking nothing away from Johnson, but Sunday’s 28th-place finish was the third time in the last four races that he’s finished 17th or worse.

3

Carl Edwards

0 1 1/19
He won the pole at MIS and might have won the race had his engine not overheated. Still, Edwards soldiered on to finish in the top 10.

4

Clint Bowyer

0 2 2/15
An unfortunate beginning of the race for Bowyer, who ran into Trevor Bayne when the green flag came out. He rallied to finish seventh.

5

Matt Kenseth

0 2 1/9
A sixth-place finish was nothing to be ashamed of for Kenseth, certainly, although his car didn’t seem as fast it was earlier this year.

6

Kyle Busch

0 - 1/16
A good day for Busch, but in truth not a great one. Sure, fourth was fine, but Busch never led a lap and was not a contender to win on Sunday.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.

0 4 1/14
It looked for all the world like Junior was going to win, at least until his engine let go, causing Junior Nation to declare a day of mourning.

Tony Stewart

0 1 1/20
A third top-five finish — one of which was a victory — in the last four races puts Stewart in the top 10 in points for the first time all year.

9

Greg Biffle

0 5 4/18
Biffle now has four wins at Michigan, a personal best at any track. Roush Fenway Racing has won 13 races at Michigan, most of any team, and Ford has won 33 races here, most of any automaker.

10

Kurt Busch

0 2 2/19
Busch led the first 21 laps, but then inexplicably looped the car on Lap 29. And here he was one of the favorites to win.

11

Brad Keselowski

0 - 1/16
Tough break for Keselowski, who ran out of gas on the last lap while running fifth.

12

Kasey Kahne

0 2 2/15
A cut tire while leading put Kahne into the wall and out of the race, as the entire Hendrick Motorsports squad had a dismal race day.

13

Paul Menard

0 3 9/20
If NASCAR’s regular season ended tomorrow, Menard would be in the Chase. And that’s despite a best finish all year long of eighth.

14

Joey Logano

0 1 3/19
With a ninth-place effort at Michigan, Logano continues to show improvement as the season goes on.

15

Jeff Gordon

0 2 3/18
Seven laps into the race and Bobby Labonte spins out right in front of Gordon. Some days – or seasons – you just cant catch a break.

Martin Truex Jr.

0 2 9/20
Nice run for the New Jersey native, as he brought the No. 56 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota home third

Jeff Burton

0 - 16/22
Great run for the veteran Richard Childress Racing driver, who ended the day 10th. Last week: Unranked.

19

Ryan Newman

0 1 7/20
It looked as if Newman might finish better, but a scrape with the wall left him 18th.

20

Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

0 - 18/20
An average run for Stenhouse Jr., who finished 16th. And, for the first time since Texas, behind girlfriend Danica Patrick.
