News: NASCAR has assessed behavioral penalties to drivers Brad Keselowski and Stewart for their involvement in post-race incidents on Oct. 11 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Stewart has been fined $25,000 and placed on NASCAR probation for the next four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship events, NASCAR PR reports. Impact: Stewart backed hard into Keselowski's Ford on pit road after post-race paybacks spilled over into the No. 14 Chevrolet. Stewart was hit with a penalty half the size of Keselowski's but still pretty stiff for the split-second, emotional reaction. Given the veteran driver's recent troubles, this was the last thing he needed as the season is drawing to a close.(RotoWire, )

News: Stewart wasted a top-10 start as he finished 17th in Sunday's Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. Impact: Stewart has long been eliminated from Sprint Cup contention, and is probably more worried about getting back to normal for next season after the tumultuous year he's had. He has the remaining races to build momentum before the offseason.(RotoWire, )
