News: Kenseth finished fourth in the Crown Royal presents the John Wayne Walding 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon. Impact: The steady improvement continues in the No. 20 Toyota camp. Kenseth didn't have the speed to threaten for the win at IMS, but he raced among the Top 10 all day long at the historic oval. He worked with Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin to fend off Fords and Chevrolets on the final green-flag run. Kenseth collected his eighth Top-5 finish after 160 laps of action at the Brickyard. He remains fourth in the championship standings as the series heads to Pocono next weekend.(RotoWire, )

News: Kenseth finished third in the Lilly Diabetes 250 Nationwide Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Saturday. Impact: The Joe Gibbs Racing star put on a good performance in a strong No. 20 Toyota. Kenseth led 8 laps and mixed it up at the front with the leaders all afternoon long at the Brickyard. He didn't have the speed or strategy late to reel-in leader Ty Dillon, and finished over 5 seconds back of the race winner. It was his sixth Top-5 of the season.(RotoWire, )

News: Kenseth was fastest in opening practice for the Crown Royal Presents the John Wayne Walding 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Friday. He turned a fast lap of 186.285 mph. Impact: A pair of Toyotas surprised the field in first practice at Indianapolis. Kenseth's No. 20 Toyota topped the scoring pylon with one of only two laps over the 186 mph mark. The veteran driver beat out Clint Bowyer for the fastest lap of this opening 85-minute session. Kenseth has been a steady finisher in this annual race at IMS, but has never kissed the bricks. Maybe he finally has the speed to win in Sunday's 400-mile race.(RotoWire, )
