News: Ambrose climbed four spots to finish 24th in Sunday's 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. Impact: Ambrose and the No. 9 Ford received 19 more points for his efforts Sunday, and he now ranks 23rd on the season, although he has already been eliminated from Sprint Cup contention. News: Richard Petty Motorsports announced the No. 9 team will move forward with a new driver in 2015. Ambrose, who has been with RPM since 2011, has informed the organization that he will return to his native home of Australia in 2015, Richard Petty Motorsports PR reports. Impact: Ambrose has had a good 4-year run in NASCAR. He's won races, and showed he could compete with the best stock car drivers in the world in this series. Ambrose will return to his native home of Australia at the end of this season to continue raising his kids. He would not comment on future racing opportunities or whether he'd return for some part-time road course action in NASCAR.
