News: Keselowski won the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday afternoon. Impact: The Penske Racing star needed a clutch performance at Talladega to advance to the Eliminator round of the Chase and Keselowski delivered. He only needed to lead 11 laps for the day, but being in position on the final restart was the key to victory. With a helping push from the No. 20 Toyota of Matt Kenseth, Keselowski was able to clear leader Ryan Newman on the final lap and secure the win. It was his series-leading sixth win of 2014 and the Penske Racing star will get to continue his pursuit of this season's championship at Martinsville next week.(RotoWire, )

News: NASCAR has assessed behavioral penalties to drivers Keselowski and Tony Stewart for their involvement in post-race incidents on Oct. 11 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Keselowski has been fined $50,000 and placed on NASCAR probation for the next four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship events, NASCAR PR reports. Impact: The on-track contact and scuffles after last Saturday's Bank of America 500 have hit Keselowski hard in the wallet. The Penske Racing star was slapped with a $50,000 fine and four-race probation Tuesday afternoon. The sanctioning body cited safety concerns as the primary reason for the penalties.(RotoWire, )

News: Keselowski met with NASCAR after a cooling-off period at Charlotte. Matt Kenseth crew chief Jason Ratcliff went voluntarily to talk to NASCAR, and Kenseth crew member Jesse Sanders was summoned by officials. It's not clear if Keselowski - or Hamlin or Kenseth - will be punished by NASCAR on Tuesday, the Associated Press reports. Impact: The precedent for fighting in the garage area was set earlier this season when Marcos Ambrose and Casey Mears were fined for a fight at Richmond. At this point its unclear if Keselowski will face similar penalties or any at all. NASCAR should act on the situation Tuesday, which has traditionally been the day to announce penalties coming out of a race weekend.(RotoWire, )

News: Keselowski won the Drive for the Cure 300 Nationwide Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Friday night. Impact: The Penske Racing star spent most of the night mired deep in the field, but things turned his way late in the race. Keselowski got the needed track position late in the event to grab the lead for the final 22 laps and cruise to the easy victory over Kyle Busch. It was his fourth win of the season and 31st of his Nationwide Series career.(RotoWire, )

News: This weekend Keselowski's No.2 Team Penske Ford Fusion will feature blue Detroit Genuine Parts colors. This marks the second race that the No. 2 Ford Fusion is appearing in the livery this season, Penske Racing PR reports. Impact: Keselowski needs to get his championship hopes turned back in the right direction after a poor finish at Kansas Speedway. He'll have a special sponsor and paint scheme at Charlotte to boost his morale. Keselowski has won three intermediate oval events in 2014, so he should be a contender to win Saturday night's Bank of America 500.(RotoWire, )
