Top 10 finishing order after Stage 1 at Las Vegas Tim Durr @timdurr Mar 12, 2017 at 4:52p ET The first stage of the Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway ended on Lap 80. The winner of the stage receives 10 regular season points and one playoff bonus point, while the top-10 finishers receive points from 10-to-1 in declining order. Check out the top-10 drivers from the end of Stage 1: Getty Images Getty Images 1 Martin Truex Jr, 10 points (1 playoff point) After Kevin Harvick blew a tire and hit the wall to bring out the caution, Truex grabbed the lead on the restart to win the stage. 2 Kyle Larson, 9 After a fifth-place starting spot, Larson slid back a little in the early going but turned it around in the closing laps for a solid stage performance. 3 Ryan Blaney, 8 The Wood Brothers Racing has looked strong in 2017 with the No. 21 Ford once again near the front of the field. 4 Brad Keselowski, 7 Keselowski started on the pole and controlled most of the opening stage of the race but fell back a few spots after the late stage caution. 5 Chase Elliott, 6 Elliott continues to be a top contender in 2017, once again grabbing stage points. 6 Jamie McMurray, 5 McMurray gambled with a two-tire stop right before the stage ended to move up and grab some points. 7 Jimmie Johnson, 4 After starting the race in 16th, Johnson worked his way into the top 10 quickly. 8 Kyle Busch, 3 The hometown boy has himself in solid position in the early going of the Kobalt 400. 9 Matt Kenseth, 2 Kenseth has won three times in his career at Las Vegas and looks good once again. 10 Dale Earnhardt Jr., 1 Dale Jr. moved up through the field in Stage 1 and grabbed points at the end of the stage.
