Last week, the crew chief on the No. 11 team - Darian Grubb - was suspended for six weeks and hit with a $125,000 fine for something NASCAR called a "rear firewall block-off plate." Since no one has ever heard of that, we assume the part was made up and doesn't really exist.
Barring the unlikely chance of his penalty being overturned, Darian is scheduled to return in Chicago. That will be a spectacle within itself, as it's the first time there was ever a successful comeback in Chicago.
