The Monster Energy Open is in the books at Charlotte Motor Speedway. See which four of the 24 drivers who particpated in it were able to advance to tonight's Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race at the 1.5-mile track (7:30 p.m. ET on FS1).
Clint Bowyer, Stage 1 winner
One of the heavy pre-race favorites to advance, Clint Bowyer made quick work of making it happen, winning Stage 1 going away by 3.653 seconds.
Ryan Blaney, Stage 2 winner
Blaney finished second in Stage 1 and then won Stage 2 to also advance.
Daniel Suárez, Stage 3 winner
Suárez was the lead car on the final restart of the race and got the jump on Chase Elliott, who restarted alongside of him on the front row. Then he drove away to take the final stage.
Chase Elliott, fan vote winner
Elliott restarted in second on the last restart of the race, and got beat off the line by Suárez. Even though he could not catch him and ultimately finished third in Stage 3, Elliott got into the All-Star Race by winning the fan vote that decided the fourth driver to advance.
Dillon was in third on the final restart of Stage 3, but could not quite get all the way to the front.
Patrick didn't help herself early by roughing up the car of Trevor Bayne, causing slight damage to the front of her No. 10 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford. But she was all the way up to fourth on the final restart.
McDowell was 11th in the final stage, and 13th overall after the first two stage winners took their cars to the garage following their stage triumphs.
Whitt finished 12th in Stage 3.
Earnhardt finished 14th in Stage 3.
Cassill had an eventful night and eventually came home in 13th in the last stage after a two-tire gamble at the start of it failed miserably -- and Elliott immediately moved him off the front row and out of the way.
Sorenson finished 15th in his No. 15 Chevrolet in the final Open stage.
Cope was the last car to finish on the lead lap in the final stage.
