News: Kenseth finished second in the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday afternoon. Impact: With a late charge during the closing laps, Kenseth was able to push to the front but wasn't able to get to the lead. Some excellent blocking by the leaders kept the Joe Gibbs Racing star out of the lead. Kenseth wound up pushing the No. 2 Ford of Brad Keselowski to the lead on the green-white-checkered restart and would finish runner-up as the checkered flag waved. His 12th Top-5 finish of the season powered the team into the next round of the Chase as Kenseth climbed from ninth- to fifth-place in the championship standings.(RotoWire, )

News: Kenseth finished third in the Drive for the Cure 300 Nationwide Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Friday night. Impact: The veteran driver was a major factor early in the race and led 2 laps in the opening minutes. Kenseth spent the rest of the night battling traffic and his car's handling to get back up through the field. A late caution flag set up Kenseth for a strong run to the finish and a brilliant third-place result. It was his eighth Top-5 finish of the season.(RotoWire, )
