News: Harvick finished second in the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway Sunday afternoon. Impact: The SHR star flirted with another victory at the Michigan oval, but came up short of the checkers yet again. Harvick raced with the leaders all afternoon long in the Pure Michigan 400. On the final restart he made a run at leader Jeff Gordon but couldn't reel in the No. 24 Chevrolet. News: Harvick was fastest in early morning practice for the Pure Michigan 400 on Saturday. He turned a fast lap of 203.183 mph. News: The No. 4 team and driver Harvick that competes in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series has been penalized due to a rules infraction committed during the Aug. 10 race at Watkins Glen International, NASCAR PR reports. Impact: A minor infraction of NASCAR rules has collected a penalty this week for Harvick and his Stewart Haas Racing team. The sanctioning body discovered unapproved weight in Harvick's No. 4 Chevrolet during post-race inspection at Watkins Glen. Crew Chief Rodney Childers has been fined $25,000 but no other penalties have been levied against Harvick or SHR.(RotoWire, )

News: Harvick finished seventh in the Cheez-It 355 at Watkins Glen International Sunday afternoon. Impact: Despite his No. 4 Chevrolet's speed, Harvick had to hang on at times in order to keep up with the leaders and stay out of the crashes. Thanks to the Stewart Haas Racing star's skill and experience on road courses, he was able to stay out of trouble and secure his 11th Top 10 of the the season. News: Harvick was fastest in opening practice for the Cheez-It 355 at Watkins Glen International Friday. He turned a fast lap of 128.474 mph. Impact: Pressing speeds better than the track qualifying record, Harvick jumped out to lead first practice at the Glen Friday afternoon. The veteran driver beat out Jimmie Johnson to turn the fastest lap of this 90-minue practice session.
