News: Edwards finished fifth in the Oral-B USA 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway Sunday night. Impact: Edwards parlayed some good moves late in the Oral-B USA 500 and some good pit strategy into a great Top-5 finish. The intermediate oval in Atlanta has always been one of his favorite tracks, and the Roush Fenway Racing star didn't fail to perform. Despite the late crashes and choppy finish, the No. 99 Ford crossed the stripe in the Top 5 for the sixth time this season. News: Edwards was fastest in opening practice for the Oral-B USA 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway Friday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 192.855 mph. Impact: The Roush Fenway Racing veteran blew away the field with the only lap of 192 mph+ Friday at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Edwards beat out Ryan Newman for the fastest lap of this first 90-minute session. The driver of the No. 99 Ford has great career stats at AMS, and it looks like he's brought a very fast race car for Sunday night's 500-mile event at the track.(RotoWire, )

News: Edwards finished seventh in the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway Saturday night. Impact: The driver of the No. 99 Ford was unable to pull the season-sweep at Bristol Motor Speedway, but Edwards was able to forge a solid Top-10 finish. The Roush Fenway Racing star bounced in-and-out of the Top 10 at times, but he never fell too far into the field. News: Joe Gibbs Racing announced that Edwards will join the organization in 2015 to compete full time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. In addition, ARRIS Group, Inc. will sponsor Edwards in the No. 19 Toyota Camry for 17 races in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with JGR expanding its operations to include a fourth team, reports. Impact: It's finally been made official. Edwards moves to JGR in 2015 and he will pilot the new No. 19 Toyota team. This will be a fourth team for Gibbs, and it will have at least partial sponsorship from primary sponsor, ARRIS. News: Edwards raced a loose car to a 23rd place finish in the Pure Michigan 400 on Sunday afternoon. Impact: Edwards had to battle against the No. 99 for a lot of the race, and couldn't contend with the leaders at one of his best tracks.
