News: After six races to start the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup season, Richard Petty Motorsports will take a weekend off to enjoy the Easter holiday. They will do so knowing that the No. 43 team and driver Almirola is off to its best start together. Almirola is currently 10th in the championship standings and have finished outside the Top 15 only twice this year, richardpettymotorsports.com reports.
Impact: After Almirola's steady 12th-place finish at Martinsville, the No. 43 team cruises into our first off-weekend of the season in very good shape. They currently sit 10th in the driver point standings, and Almirola has four Top-15 finishes in the first six events of 2015. The veteran driver finished inside the Top 15 at the similar oval in Atlanta a few weeks ago and he should be a Top-15 threat when the series resumes at Texas Motor Speedway in two weeks.

News: Almirola and the No. 43 Fresh From Florida team worked on their Ford's handling throughout the weekend and raced in the Top-15 for the majority of Sunday's race at Atlanta. He scored his second consecutive Top-15 finish with an 11th-place finish, richardpettymotorsports.com reports.
Impact: The season is off to a good start for Almirola and the No. 43 RPM team. The veteran driver was able to maintain the lead lap in a challenging race and was able to flirt with a Top-10 finish in the closing laps. Almirola now finds himself an impressive ninth in the championship standings as the series heads to Las Vegas this week.
