Over the past few weeks, there have been many stories reflecting on just how much Audi has done for endurance racing.
However, if a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth a million, and so the WEC have taken it upon themselves to share a tribute to Audi upon their departure from the sport.
The German automotive manufacturer brought home a 1-2 finish in its final LMP1 race last weekend at the Six Hours of Bahrain but, as this video demonstrates, it was far from their only accomplishment in the sport. In fact, Audi took 107 overall race victories, and 13 wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
It is hard to imagine the WEC without Audi, but it will be interesting seeing which manufacturers are the next to build up their legacies in endurance racing.
