NHRA: Watch as both dragsters flip in separate crashes in Brainerd
Monte Green andDon Kritzky were both able to escape scary drag racing incidents during the same run in a Top Dragster event in Brainerd last weekend.
Monte Green and Don Kritzky both suffered separate accidents during the same run in a Top Dragster race in Brainerd, Minn. last weekend.
Kritzy's car, which actually slid over the line to win the race, briefly caught fire after it came to rest before being extinguished by a fire marshal. The driver was airlifted to a nearby medical center.
Here is the full statement on the incident from the NHRA:
"Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series racers Monte Green, Haxtun, Colo., and Don Kritzky, Cottage Grove, Minn., were involved in separate racing incidents during a side-by-side race in Top Dragster eliminations. Green’s car went out of control and crashed near the finish line. Green was treated and released at the scene. Kritzky’s dragster also went out of control and crashed near the finish line. Kritzky was alert and conscious following the incident and was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minn., for further evaluation."
