Nico Rosberg's F1 ride is being advertised in a magazine

Nico Rosberg’s shock decision to retire from Formula One after winning the World Championship really seems to have thrown the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS team a curveball.

That, or someone is just having a laugh.

In Thursday’s edition of the Autosport magazine, an advertisement for the position of “race driver” will appear for the team.

Mercedes is looking for someone who is “self-motivated with a strong desire for success and a commitment to teamwork.”

The team adds that it is after someone with “a proven track record in skills including steering, braking and in particular, accelerating.”

Don’t be surprised if you learn of Fernando Alonso subscribing to Autosport within the next week or so.
