News: Kahnle was traded to the White Sox on Tuesday in exchange for pitching prospect Yency Almonte.
Impact: While it is obviously an improvement for any pitcher to be traded from Colorado, Kahnle has not started a game as a professional, so he just offers Chicago with some organizational bullpen depth. The 26-year-old righty has a career 4.41 ERA and 102 strikeouts in 102 innings in the big leagues.

News: The White Sox have acquired Kahnle from the Rockies in exchange for minor league pitcher Yency Almonte.
Impact: Kahnle posted a respectable 4.19 ERA in 54 appearances for Colorado in 2014 but wasn't as effective last season. The 26-year-old was designated for assignment by the Rockies last week.

News: Kahnle was designated for assignment by the Rockies on Friday, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
Impact: John Axford, Wilin Rosario and Rex Brothers were also cleared to make room for four young players that needed to be protected from the Rule 5 draft. Kahnle was given an audition in the closer role in August, but he allowed nine runs in three appearances to lose the job after less than two weeks. The right-hander finished with a 4.86 ERA and 1.77 WHIP.
