Tigers prospect ends game with awesome bare-handed catch

Published Nov. 15, 2016 3:02 p.m. ET

Detroit Tigers prospect Dixon Machado ended a game Monday with one of the most awesome -- yet somehow casual -- catches that you'll see this season.

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth of Monday's game against the Indianapolis Indians, the Toledo Mud Hens shortstop chased down a bloop into shallow left field and went into a slide before snagging the baseball with his bare-hand. For such a difficult play, Machado was so smooth and nonchalant the entire way. No hesitation, no bobble -- just a swiping grab and a nice little pop-up slide. It looked Machado was going for the bare-hander the entire way.

That is some impressive stuff right there. What a way to end a ballgame.
