Tigers activate outfielder Guillen from DL

The Tigers ended the injury rehabilitation assignment of outfielder Carlos Guillen from Triple-A Toledo today and reinstated him from the disabled list.

Guillen is hitting .200 with no homers and six RBIs in 24 major-league games this season.

To create room on the club’s 25-man roster, Detroit designated the contract of outfielder Josh Anderson for assignment.

Guillen went 4-for-7 with an RBI in two games with Toledo. In five games with Single-A Lakeland, he went 3-for-12 with a double and four walks.

He had been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder inflammation.
