WHAT IT MEANS:
The National September 11 Memorial & Museum is a national nonprofit honoring the nearly 3,000 victims of the 9/11 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. The institution also examines the ongoing implications of 9/11 through public programs and exhibitions and to preserve its history to educate future generations.

The signature 9/11 Memorial BowTie was created to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, the date the 9/11 Memorial opened at the World Trade Center. The "REUNITE" theme, which still resonates some 15 years later, is a reminder that when the times require we can come together and support one another as the county and world did in response to 9/11. BowTie has special relevance to Ken Rosenthal and Dhani Jones. As a New Yorker, Ken grew up with a passion for the city and returned to live there after 23 years in Baltimore. Dhani Jones made his way to NYC through the NFL Draft, when he was selected in 2000 by the New York Giants. "This city raised me and added a great chapter to my life," says Jones. "I love this city."

The 9/11 Memorial BowTie features an interlacing pattern with the word REUNITE as a reminder that we all came together in the hours and days after the attack to support one another with limitless compassion and we can come together again and always to reunite and always remember.
