Tampa Bay Rays rookies wear patriotic singlets for dress-up day

On Sunday, the Tampa Bay Rays continued their dress-up day tradition by turning nine of the team's rookies (and less experienced players) into American wrestlers complete with patriotic headgear and medals.

Take a look at the young baseball players/grapplers (from L to R they are: Richie Shaffer, Matt Andriese, Blake Snell, Mikie Mahtook, Luke Maile, Ryan Garton, Justin Marks, Enny Romero and Eddie Gamboa).

And here's the action shot: boarding the plane.

As far as rookie dress-ups go, this is one of the better and more flattering looks. Perhaps you recall when the Washington Nationals youngsters got the Smurfs treatment in 2011?
