The milestones keep on coming for Rockies pitcher Jorge De La Rosa this season. On Sunday, De La Rosa recorded his 1,000th career strikeout. Earlier this season he actually became the Rockies franchise leader in strikeouts when he punched out his 774th batter as a Rockie. Last month he also became the Rockies’ all-time franchise leader in wins when he picked up win No. 73 with the club.
Per the Denver Post, the understated lefty said about the 1,000th K:
"It’s nice. I’ve got the baseball somewhere."

The milestone came on a swinging strike by one of the best hitters in baseball right now — the D-backs’ Paul Goldschmidt.
