Right-hander Chien-Ming Wang opted out of his minor-league deal with the Yankees to sign with the Blue Jays, according to a major-league source.

Right-hander Chien-Ming Wang opted out of his minor-league deal with the Yankees on Friday to sign with the Blue Jays, according to a major-league source.

Wang, 33, was scheduled to report to the Jays later Friday and make his first start for them on Tuesday, the source said.

In 10 appearances with the Nationals last season, five starts, Wang was 2-3 with a 6.68 ERA. He was 4-4 with a 2.33 ERA in nine starts for Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season.
