Paul Goldschmidt has a bizarre doppelganger on the Rockies

Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt may have found his long-lost twin during Wednesday's game against the Colorado Rockies.

As was pointed out on the D-Backs' broadcast, Goldschmidt happens to look an awful lot like Rockies outfielder/first baseman Stephen Cardullo. A side-by-side shot was shown during the game and it's pretty uncanny how much the two resemble each other.

Also quite weird is the fact that the two men were born within a week and a half of each other back in 1987, so there remains a decent possibility they could have been separated at birth. And, as it turns out, they were also both drafted by the Diamondbacks, though they had different paths to the majors.

Cardullo, who made his MLB debut last month at the age of 29, was released by Arizona after two seasons. He then played four years of independent league baseball before earning another shot with a big league club, signing a minor-league deal with the Rockies prior to this season. After his call-up in August, he hit the first two home runs of his career -- including a grand slam -- on his birthday.
