Padres’ Upton singles, steals base in All-Star Game

Justin Upton may have only gotten one at bat as the lone Padres representative at the All-Star Game, but he made it count. He singled in the eighth inning off the Royals’ Wade Davis and then stole second base. According to MLB.com, Upton became the first Padre since the great Tony Gwynn in 1989 to get a hit and swipe a base in the Midsummer Classic.
