Trout celebrates hefty contract extension with massive steak

Mike Trout, after inking his 6-year $144.5 million contract extension with the Angels, celebrated with a 36 oz steak.

Mike Trout has had a pretty good week.

He finally locked in a deal worth $144.5 million to extend his contract with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The deal will take him through his salary arbitration years and the first three years of free agency. The average yearly salary will be almost $24.1 million.

So what better way to celebrate than to hit a home run against the Dodgers ...

And then go out and have a steak dinner -- a GIANT steak dinner, to be exact.

He wasn't alone in the dining feat; Angels pitcher Garrett Richards joined Trout for the challenge.

No reports of how much of the steak either Trout or Richards was able to finish.
