Trout ties Angels rookie stolen base record

The last time any Los Angeles Angel had 26 stolen bases before the All-Star break, the Angels were called the California Angels.

Along with Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper, Los Angeles’ Mike Trout has been putting together quite an impressive season for someone who can’t even legally drink in the United States.

In fact, his season has been so impressive thus far — hitting .347 with 11 home runs, 39 RBI and 26 stolen bases going into Satuday’s game.

He will be one of the Angels’ representatives at the All-Star Game on FOX on Tuesday at Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium.

Trout has also tied the Angels’ rookie record with 26 stolen bases by the All-Star break. Who’s record did he catch? Jerry Remy, who accomplished the feat in 1975 and ended up with 34 thefts on the season.

Keep this in mind. Remy did it at the age of 22. Trout is only 20 years old.
