It’s time to talk baseball with your friend, Rob Neyer. And as always, there is much to talk about. We had our first front-office firing of the season when the Padres canned general manager Josh Byrnes. The Friars also added another first when reliever Alex Torres became the first pitcher to don one of the famous protective caps in a game.
But the last week hasn’t been all about San Diego. Only a little over 120 miles North of "America’s Finest City," Clayton Kershaw threw his first career no-hitter. It was nearly a perfect game and saw the Dodgers lefty strikeout 15 Rockies batters.
