Damon gets revenge on old pal Manny as 2004 'Idiots' reunite

The "Idiots" reunited on Wednesday night at Fenway Park, and of course some memorable hijinks ensued from the 2004 World Series-winning crew.
Front and center was none other than new Iowa Cubs player-manager Manny Ramirez, who had the honor of tossing out the first pitch prior to the game against the Braves, surrounded by his former Beantown teammates.
But this being Manny, something funny had to happen -- and of course it did -- courtesy of old pal Johnny Damon.
Damon, who has a lot of making up to do with the Fenway faithful after his stint with the dreaded Yankees, took advantage of an opportunity for some payback as Manny's first pitch headed toward home plate.
Watch the video here:
If Damon's dive out of nowhere and interception look familiar, it's because Manny pulled the same move on July 21, 2004 -- in an actual game -- inexplicably intercepting Damon's throw from the outfield, resulting in the Orioles' David Newhan scoring an inside-the-park home run.
It's the perfect example of Manny being Manny. Ah, the memories ...
