Hunter Renfroe becomes first player to crush HR to roof of Western Metal Supply building

San Diego Padres outfielder Hunter Renfroe hit a mammoth blast at Petco Park on Wednesday night, one that was hit so well it ended up creating history at the ballpark.

According to the Padres, the 24-year-old Renfroe became the first player to hit a ball onto the roof of the Western Metal Supply building that sits beyond the left field fence in San Diego.

We saw a few players take balls to the roof deck during this year's Home Run Derby in San Diego, but Renfroe doing it during legitimate game action is pretty incredible. According to MLB's Statcast, the dinger traveled 434 feet with some insane arc, as Renfroe basically golfed that thing to the moon.

If that doesn't get Padres fans excited about this kid's raw power, I don't know what will.
