Rays double up first-pitch theatrics

Teams are always looking for new and unique ways to
revolutionize the first pitch. The Tampa Bay Rays took things to a
strange new level Monday when it featured not one, but two
one-of-a-kind first pitches before the team’s win over the
Texas Rangers.

In the video below, you can see one first
pitch chip from Golf Channel personality Holly
Sonders, followed by an awkward, pirouetting first pitch from two
Rockettes dancers:

The Rockettes’ performance wasn’t my favorite, but
Sonders’ shot, right into the glove of Cesar Ramos, was
pretty cool — maybe not
shoot-a-ball-with-an-arrow cool, but
noteworthy nonetheless.
