Giants’ Brandon Belt hits monstrous homer at Coors Field

Brandon Belt hit his fourth home run of the season Friday into the left field seats in Denver’s Coors Field. You can say that it was a no-doubter, that he belted it or crushed it. The 34th ball hit into the upper deck at Coors sliced through the thin Rocky Mountain air for a distance of 475 feet. Per MLB.com, Belt quipped about how far the ball would have gone at AT&T Park:

"It's probably off the wall in San Fran, though," Belt jokingly said, referring to AT&T Park's spacious dimensions and tall barriers that discourage power hitting.

Belt may have been understating his pop though. Although “Splash Hits” into McCovey Cove in AT&T Park have been notoriously hard to hit, 104 balls have actually reached the water on the fly through 2014. Belt has hit four into the water.
