Cuddyer’s streak extends to 26 games

Colorado Rockies’ Michael Cuddyer has extended his hitting
streak to 26 games with an RBI single in the first inning Saturday
against the San Francisco Giants.

He hit an 0-2 pitch from Matt Cain up the middle to drive in
Corey Dickerson from third and give the Rockies a 1-0 lead.

Cuddyer’s streak is the longest in Rockies’ history and in the
majors this season. He has reached base safely in a
franchise-record 45 straight games.
