Wilson makes rare consecutive starts
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP)
Wilson started on Saturday in the second game of the series at Texas, going six innings in the Angels' 4-2 victory over the Rangers.
In the series opener Friday night, Wilson threw only 22 pitches to five batters before a 1 hour, 56-minute rain delay in the first inning. The left-hander didn't return after the rain stopped.
The last major leaguer to start consecutive games was Aaron Myette for Texas on Sept. 3 and 4, 2002. Myette was ejected from the first game after only two pitches.
Wilson was the loser in the Angels' 10-3 loss Friday night after he allowed four runs. He struck out one before giving up three infield singles and a walk.
