Stow expected to change hospitals
Bryan Stow, the San Francisco Giants fan who sustained brain injuries during an attack at Dodger Stadium on March 31, may be transferred to a hospital closer to his home in the Bay Area within the next week.
Stow has been treated at the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center since the assault. But Stow’s family would prefer that he be moved to the University of California-San Francisco Medical Center, according to Rosa Saca, spokesperson for LAC + USC.
Doctors likely will approve the transfer, as long as Stow doesn’t have any further seizure activity and maintains stable vital signs. He has had stable vital signs since Monday but remains comatose and in critical condition, Saca said.
Stow is expected to undergo an MRI exam this week. He could be transferred as early as the middle of next week.
A reward of at least $120,000, including funds promised by the Giants and Dodgers, has been promised for information leading to the arrests of the two assailants responsible for the attack. So far, no arrests have been made.
