Every day was Valentine's Day when Bobby V was in the dugout

It’s impossible for many baseball fans to celebrate Valentine’s Day without a chuckling a bit about the man who made every day Valentine’s Day during his career.

Bobby Valentine played 10 seasons in the majors but is best known for his time on the bench. He managed the Texas Rangers, the Chiba Lotte Marines in Japan and, most recently, the Boston Red Sox. However, his most memorable work came with the New York Mets, whom he led to the 2000 NL pennant – and with whom he once donned a Groucho Marx disguise after being ejected from a game in June 1999.
