Watch bird nearly get nailed by pitch, narrowly avoiding infamous Randy Johnson moment

It nearly happened again.

Fifteen years after Randy Johnson famously killed a ball with a pitch during a spring training game, the same thing almost occurred Monday night.

Cardinals righty Adam Wainwright threw a breaking ball to infielder Cheslor Cuthbert in the second when a bird flew in front of home plate. Cuthbert took a wicked cut, fouling the ball off but missing the bird.
