Ballet dancer's new spin on first pitch

A ballet dancer put a new spin on the tired old genre of first pitches Sunday, doing a dance as he tossed it out at the Cincinnati Reds game.

Welp. Here's a new one.

We've seen our fair share of strange/bad/creative first pitches this season — the flipping Korean gymnast, Carly Rae Jepsen and the Google robot come to mind — but there is no rest for the weary in this crowded genre.

Sunday, the Cincinnati Reds provided the stage for ballet dancer Cervilio Miguel Amador, who stepped up to the mound and then did this:

Reds announcer Jim Day tells us it was "Cincinnati Ballet Day" at Great American Ballpark. So that's a thing.

We still have to give the nod to the gymnast. But a heck of an effort from Amador.
