That extended Miller’s winless drought to a staggering 16 starts despite permitting one run on two hits and striking out 10.
The latest gem continued a maddening stretch for Miller, who is 0-8 during the slide despite a 3.03 ERA in that span. The results are even harder to digest at home. In his last nine starts at Turner Field, Miller owns a 2.29 ERA and an 0-4 mark.
In his 23 starts with the Braves Shelby Miller has received 1 or 0 runs 14 times. His 2.54 run support is the lowest in baseball.
The Braves have offered little support for Miller, failing to score more than three runs in 11 consecutive starts supplying one run or less in 12 of his last 16 turns.
Miller’s last win came on May 16 at Miami – a complete-game two-hit shutout. Coincidentally, his last home victory also came via a shutout, when he blanked the Philadelphia Phillies on three hits on May 5.
