(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Devil Rays aim for a sweep of the Kansas City Royals when the teams meet for tonight's finale of a three-game series at Tropicana Field. The Devil Rays hand the reins to Rob Bell tonight, as the righthander attempts to pick up his first win in over three weeks. Bell is 0-1 in his last two starts, including a setback last Saturday in Toronto. He surrendered four runs and six hits in six innings of work. Bell also struck out a batter while walking four. Bell has four career starts against the Royals and has no record and a 4.44 earned run average in those outings. The Devil Rays have won the first two games of the set, including a blowout win on Wednesday. Mark Hendrickson went the distance on a four-hitter and came just one out short of a shutout, as Tampa Bay hit three homers en route to a 10-1 pasting of the Royals. Hendrickson (8-8) threw 117 pitches, 79 for strikes, en route to his third- career complete game and second in his last three starts. He fanned five, hit a batter but did not walk one. The lone run he allowed came with two outs in the ninth inning and was unearned. This is the first series of the season between these teams. The Royals are 12-9 against Tampa Bay since the start of the 2001 campaign.
