(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Devil Rays hope to avoid a five-game losing streak today when they take on the Toronto Blue Jays in the middle contest of a three game set at SkyDome. The Rays' most recent setback came on Friday, when they found themselves on the short end of a 7-4 decision. Mark Hendrickson (7-8), the Tampa Bay starter, absorbed the loss after permitting seven runs -- one earned -- on 11 hits in seven innings. Rocco Baldelli and Aubrey Huff both registered two hits, including a homer, for the Devil Rays, who lost their seventh straight on the road. Taking the hill for the Devil Rays today will be Rob Bell. The young righthander is coming off a poor outing against the Yankees in which he allowed five earned runs over just 4 1/3 innings of a 9-7 setback on Monday. Bell, however, has thrived on the road this season, posting a 3-1 mark with a 3.63 ERA over four starts. In six career appearances, four starts, against the Blue Jays Bell is a perfect 2-0, despite a dismal 6.18 ERA over that time. Huff is batting .341 (14-for-41) with four home runs and 10 RBI over his last 11 games.
