(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Devil Rays try to stay on the winning track this evening when they start a brief two-game series with the New York Yankees at Tropicana Field. Tampa will pin its hopes on righthander Rob Bell, who is 3-3 on the season with a 4.50 ERA. Bell is coming off a win in his last start against the Baltimore Orioles on July 7, as he tossed seven shutout innings of two-hit ball to earn the win. Bell has yet to face the Yankees this season, but is 1-3 lifetime against them with a 11.51 ERA in five starts. Tampa split a four-game set over the weekend with the Baltimore Orioles, culminating with a 7-2 win in Sunday's finale. The Rays are 10-2-4 in their last 16 series, with their only losses coming to the Yankees. New York swept a four-game set from the Devil Rays just before the All_Star break and has won nine of the 12 matchups this season. The Yankees have also had success in Tampa, where they have won 17 of the last 24 meetings. The Devil Rays are 25-20 at home.
