News: Robinson (shoulder) signed a minor league deal with the Twins on Thursday that includes an invitation to spring training, LaVelle E. Neal of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Impact: Robinson had a limited role with the Cardinals in 2014, slashing .150/.227/.200 over 66 plate appearances. He'll attempt to earn an Opening Day roster spot as a reserve outfielder with the Twins in the upcoming season. Robinson finished the 2014 season on the 60-day disabled list following shoulder surgery, but he's expected to be fully healthy by this spring.

News: Robinson (shoulder) was released by the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Impact: The acquisition of Jason Heyward from Atlanta gave the Cardinals a surplus of outfielders, and Robinson was ultimately deemed the weak link. A fifth-round pick in 2006, he has hit just .231/.303/.308 in parts of five seasons in the majors and was forced to undergo shoulder surgery late in the year. Robinson doesn't have much power or speed to speak of and will likely have to settle for a minor league deal once healthy.
