News: Kalish and the Blue Jays failed to complete the minor-leauge contract they agreed to last month, making the outfielder a free agent, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reports.
Impact: A reason for the dissolution of the deal hasn't been provided. Kalish was expected to provide outfield depth for the Blue Jays at the Triple-A level with a shot at competing for a reserve role with the big club in spring training, but he'll now have to pursue an opportunity elsewhere.

News: Kalish signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays on Wednesday that includes an invitation to spring training, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.
Impact: Kalish will receive the same tryout he did with the Cubs last season, and he'll look to again turn the opportunity into an Opening Day roster spot. He split much of last season between the majors and Triple-A, but ultimately was outrighted in off the 40-man in the offseason.
