News: Johnson signed a minor league deal with the Nationals on Monday.
Impact: Johnson spent the 2015 season with the Nationals, but injuries limited him to just 17 games. He'll be 39 years old by the time the 2016 rolls around and will likely have to earn a roster spot in spring training.

News: Johnson (foot) was activated from the 60-day disabled list Saturday.
Impact: Johnson had been out since late April because of a foot injury and then an oblique issue, but it appears he'll finally rejoin the club. He probably won't see much playing time over the last week of the season outside of pinch hitting. In a corresponding move, Denard Span was transferred to the 60-day DL to open up a spot on the 40-man roster.
