News: Greinke threw a bullpen session Wednesday, which he skipped when his elbow was tender, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports. Impact: This is yet another good sign that Greinke's elbow is feeling better than it was last week, when he had a start pushed back. He'll take the bump Saturday with a favorable matchup in San Diego.(RotoWire, )

News: Greinke reported feeling good a day after going seven innings Saturday, a good indication that his sore pitching elbow won't be an issue going forward, the Dodgers' official site reports. Impact: Greinke was far from dominant (7 IP, 9 H, 3 ER) last time out, but the Dodgers appear to have dodged a bullet so far here.(RotoWire, )

News: Greinke (13-8) grabbed the win Saturday, giving up four runs on nine hits across seven innings while walking one and fanning four against the visiting Mets. Impact: Greinke also tossed 105 pitches, a good indication that the tenderness in his elbow isn't impacting his game too much, despite the fact he allowed two home runs. He now has a 2.79 ERA and 1.17 WHIP -- both better than his career marks of 3.57 and 1.23 -- through 26 starts (164.1 innings) this season. He also has an eye-popping 174:36 K:BB and has been terrific for the first place Dodgers in 2014.(RotoWire, )

News: Greinke (elbow) has been confirmed as Saturday's starter against the Mets. Impact: Despite a tender elbow, Greinke has been given the green light to toe the rubber Saturday oppose Jacob deGrom and thus will not miss a full turn in the rotation. The issue has reportedly been lingering for several weeks, and Greinke told SB Nation, "I expect to pitch at a 100-percent level, but I don't expect to feel 100 percent while I'm throwing," suggesting it may be something he has to manage the rest of the season.(RotoWire, )

News: Greinke (elbow) will have his next start pushed back to Saturday against the Mets, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports. Impact: It was revealed earlier in the week that Greinke has been pitching with a tender elbow for close to a month now, skipping bullpen sessions here and there as a way to manage the pain. The Dodgers will take advantage of Monday's off day and move Clayton Kershaw up to start Thursday, but Greinke is expected to go Saturday and thus will not miss a full turn in the rotation.(RotoWire, )

News: Greinke could miss his next scheduled start (Thursday) due to elbow tenderness, the Dodgers' official site reports. Impact: Manager Don Mattingly stated that he would know more on Greinke's status later on Wednesday. Carlos Frias would appear to be the most likely option to fill in for Greinke.(RotoWire, )

News: Greinke has been dealing with elbow soreness the last couple weeks, but felt "really strong" in Friday night's start, the Dodgers' official site reports. Impact: Perhaps this explains Greinke's "struggles." He had allowed seven runs in his previous two starts before tossing five scoreless innings (but with five walks) Friday. Keep an eye on his status going forward, but it appears he'll be fine.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Aug 15, 2014
News: Greinke only gave up two hits in five innings without allowing a run in the no-decision on Friday against the Brewers. Impact: There were some control issues for Greinke on Friday as he walked five hitters in total, although he did manage to strike out six. The Dodgers pulled Greinke after throwing 99 pitches in five innings. While it wasn't his best game of the season, he did manage to keep his club in the game. Greinke gets his next start against the Padres on Thursday.(RotoWire, )
