News: Alonso will receive a second MRI on his strained right forearm Wednesday, MLB.com's Corey Brock reports. "It's not looking good in the short term," manager Bud Black stated. Impact: Alonso's injury appears to have more of an effect on his tendon/muscle than the bone, so the team will conduct a second set of tests. No timetable will be proposed until the results come back, but fantasy owners may want to begin considering a backup plan, as his current status doesn't seem promising.(RotoWire, )

The exam should shed light on the extent of the injury, but consider Alonso day-to-day until his fate is revealed.
