News: Solarte went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run, and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Cardinals. Impact: Solarte led off the sixth inning with a walk, later scoring on a Jedd Gyorko base hit to give the Padres the 2-1 lead. He'd then add a home run in the seventh for some more insurance. The blast was his eighth of the year, and his second since joining the Padres. News: Solarte was traded to the Padres on Tuesday as part of a deal for Chase Headley, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports. Impact: Solarte and High-A pitcher Rafael Depaula will head to San Diego as part of a three-player trade. Solarte was batting .254 with 30 walks and 14 doubles in 289 plate appearances. The switch-hitter and utility infielder is in his first major league season.
