News: Rosario is out of the lineup Monday against the Padres. Impact: Manager Walt Weiss will have the scorching-hot Rosario take a seat Monday, with Mike McKenry getting the nod at catcher. Rosario racked up 14 hits while playing in five of the Rockies' seven games during their recently-completed homestand, but his bat could cool with the team set to close the season in pitcher-friendly environments in San Diego and Los Angeles.(RotoWire, )

News: Rosario went 2-for-3 with three runs and a walk in Sunday's win over the Diamondbacks. Impact: There might not have been a better performer over the past week than Rosario, who went 14-for-20 with two homers, nine RBI and eight runs scored while making five starts in the last seven games. The surge has allowed Rosario to make a 24-point climb in batting average during that time, but he'll be hard-pressed to maintain his torrid ways over the final week of the season. The Rockies will travel to San Diego and Los Angeles for three games apiece, playing in parks that are far less favorable than Coors Field, where Rosario spent the last week terrorizing the opposition.(RotoWire, )

He's 12 for 17 (.706) with two homers and nine RBIs in those contests. Rosario is also batting .517 (15 for 29) with 10 RBIs in a seven-game hit streak.(STATS, 3:47pm)

News: Rosario is not in the lineup Saturday against the Diamondbacks. Impact: After starting three straight games, Rosario will get a day off, and Mike McKenry will get the start behind the dish.(RotoWire, )

News: Rosario went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI against the Diamondbacks on Friday. Impact: It was one of Rosario's better games of the season as he pumped up his slash line (.270/.306/.435) on the year. Rosario has excellent career stats against the Diamondbacks (.333 AVG, 6 HR and 14 RBI in 96 at-bats), so more is likely on the way over the weekend for those lucky enough to roster him.(RotoWire, )

News: Rosario knocked out four hits, including a double and a two-run walk-off homer, in Thursday's victory over the Diamondbacks. News: Rosario went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the Dodgers. Impact: Rosario was one of six Rockies to finish with multiple hits as the team rolled to a 16-2 victory in the series finale. Though he's delivered two pleasing performances in a row, his overall .257/.295/.415 batting line has made him mostly a disappointment this season.(RotoWire, )
Tue. Sep 16, 2014
News: Rosario went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in Monday's 11-3 loss to the Dodgers. Impact: After engaging in a brief timeshare at catcher with Mike McKenry shortly after returning from the DL on Sept. 7, Rosario seems to have solidified himself as the team's top backstop once again. He made his third start in four contests on Monday, coming away with his first multi-hit game since Aug. 14.(RotoWire, )

News: Rosario is out of the lineup Sunday vs. the Cardinals. Impact: Rosario will get a breather after starting three of the last four games behind the dish. Mike McKenry will step in to handle the catching duties.(RotoWire, )
Wed. Sep 10, 2014
News: Rosario is not in the lineup Wednesday. Impact: He's starting to see less playing time down the stretch after having a pretty disappointing offensive season. He should come at a pretty cheap price in 2015, but the further we get away from that 28-homer season in 2012, the more it looks like an aberration. Mike McKenry will get the start behind the dish Wednesday.(RotoWire, )

News: Rosario is not in the lineup Monday against the Mets. Impact: Though Rosario was activated from the DL on Sunday, it's not apparent if his wrist is fully healthy, as he'll sit for the second straight game since returning. Rosario did provide a pinch-hit double in Sunday's series finale against the Padres, but it's uncertain when he may be given the go-ahead to resume duty behind the plate. The Rockies aren't in any rush to get Rosario reps at catcher, considering Mike McKenry has shined both offensively and defensively in his absence.(RotoWire, )
