News: Chen notched his 10th win after allowing three runs in five innings against the Athletics on Saturday. Impact: In his first appearance in nine days, Chen threw just 86 pitches but departed after pitching just long enough to be the pitcher of record. Though the Orioles got the win and he's been efficient, he hasn't thrown over 100 pitches since June 18, despite allowing three runs or less in four of his five turns since that time.(RotoWire, )

News: Chen will start Saturday against the Athletics, MASN Sports reports. He will be on eight days of rest between starts due to the All-Star break. Impact: Chen has been right on pace with most of his 2012 and 2013 numbers. However, he has allowed 17 home runs in 104 innings this season -- the same number he allowed in 137 innings last season. Nonetheless, Chen remains one of Baltimore's most dependable starters.(RotoWire, )

News: Chen earned his team-leading ninth win in a 4-3 victory over Washington on Thursday night. Impact: Chen (9-3, 4.15 ERA) gave up three runs and eight hits in 5 2-3 innings, walking none and striking out six. The Taiwanese left-hander is 6-1 with a 4.08 ERA in 12 starts since May 3, and has a run support average of 5.27. He was 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA in his previous two starts against the Nationals. News: Chen (9-3) picked up the win against the Nationals on Thursday, surrendering three runs and eight hits in 5.2 innings. He did not issue a walk and struck out six. Impact: Chen was somewhat cruising through the first five innings, but got into trouble in the sixth, and was pulled after allowing an RBI double to Ian Desmond with two outs. He's been up and down of late, with two quality starts and three mediocre outings in his last five. Overall, he's had a decent first half of the season, with a 4.15 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. The 28-year-old lefty doesn't strike out as many batters as you'd like (just 74 in 104 innings), but he's generating ground-ball outs at a career-best mark (1.20 GB:FB ratio) while walking very few batters (1.56 BB/9). Assuming Chen is still available on your waiver wire, he might not be a bad pickup, especially if you're looking for help in the wins category.(RotoWire, )
