News: Pastornicky was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett after Friday's game, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Impact: A corresponding move was not announced with Pastornicky's demotion, so it's likely that the Braves will call up a player from Gwinnett prior to Saturday's game to fill their vacant roster spot.(RotoWire, )

News: Pastornicky was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday. Impact: Dan Uggla's tenure with the Braves came to a merciful end Friday, and Pastornicky will be up to take his spot on the active roster. Tommy La Stella seems to be locked in at second base, however, so Pastornicky's playing time will likely be limited. Moreover, Pastornicky was placed on the DL at Gwinnett just earlier this month with knee inflammation, so he may be limited physically immediately upon his return to the big club.(RotoWire, )
